Folgt man URL’s wie:

http://www.google.com/Top/World/Deutsch/Kultur/Musik/Genres/Blasmusik/,

so erhällt man folgende Mitteilung angezeigt:

Google Directory is no longer available.

We believe that Websuche is the fastest way to find the information you need on the web.

If you prefer to browse a directory of the web, visit the Open Directory Project at dmoz.org

Das liegt nicht daran, dass Google etwas gegen Blasmusik hat, sondern einfach daran, dass Google sein Verzeichnis eingestellt hat.

Das macht auch durchaus Sinn, den das Google-Verzeichnis war nur eine Kopie des Open Directory Project at dmoz.org. Duplicate Content auf mehreren Google-Domains, und das mag Google doch eigentlich überhaupt nicht.
